Green Bay Senior Pictures: Story-Driven Senior Portraits for High School Seniors

If you’re a high school senior (or a parent of one) searching for senior pictures in Green Bay, Wisconsin, you’re probably not just looking for “a photo.” You want images that feel like you. Confident, fun, honest, and real.

That’s what I build every session around.

Why I photograph high school seniors

Senior year moves fast. One minute it’s fall sports and homecoming, and the next it’s graduation parties and “how is this already happening?”

When I create senior portraits, I’m trying to do something specific: show your personality inside the artwork itself. Your style, your vibe, what you’re into, and the parts of you that don’t always show up in everyday life.

That’s also why I love continuing to learn and push my creativity at in-person conferences like SYNC (Senior Youth National Conference). The education and community keeps my work fresh, and it helps me bring better ideas back to my seniors here in Green Bay.

A quick SYNC recap (and why it matters for your senior photos)

SYNC isn’t just classes and speakers. It’s a place where photographers are challenged to create images with stronger storytelling and more meaning. One of the things I love is that SYNC even makes room for faith with a Sunday worship service, which is a pretty rare thing at a photography conference.

SYNC also hosts an image competition where the final awards are announced at the conference. This year, I entered four images and went 4-for-4, scoring 80+ on all of them, earning an Image Excellence award for all four. My image “Winds of Change” landed in the Top 10 with a 98, and later won 2nd place in High School Senior Indoor, then took Best of Show out of 850+ images.

I’m sharing that here for one reason: I bring that same mindset into your senior session. Not stiff. Not cookie-cutter. We’re building something that feels personal and looks intentional.

What “story-driven senior pictures” means in real life

It’s not complicated. It just means we plan around things that are actually you.

  • Outfits that match your style (not mine)

  • Locations that fit your look

  • Posing that feels natural (and still looks awesome)

  • Light that makes the image pop without looking forced

  • Optional add-ons like sports gear, instruments, cars, pets, hobbies, and friends

If you want something clean and simple, we can do that. If you want something bold and artistic, we can do that too.

Best locations for senior pictures near Green Bay, WI

Green Bay and the surrounding area has a ton of variety. Here are a few location styles seniors ask for a lot:

1) Downtown and urban looks

Brick, murals, alleys, modern lines, and that “city senior session” feel.

2) Parks, trails, and woods

Green spaces like local parks and other Brown County spots are great for natural portraits and golden-hour light. Plus, I have a handful of secret spots, like hidden waterfall locations, that are great!

3) Water and beach vibes

If you want shoreline, waves, and sunset, areas around Door County are popular for that.

4) Gardens and florals

The Green Bay Botanical Garden is a favorite for seniors who want lots of color and variety.

Want help picking a location? That’s part of the planning. You tell me the vibe, I’ll suggest spots that fit.

When should you book senior pictures in Green Bay?

For most seniors, the sweet spot is late spring through fall (and sometimes winter if you want a snow look). If you want summer or early fall dates, booking earlier helps because those weekends fill first.

What you get with my senior portrait sessions

My goal is simple: you feel comfortable, you look like yourself, and you end up with images you’re proud to share.

Sessions can be in-studio or on-location (or both), and we’ll plan the details so you’re not guessing the whole time.

Also, I keep my calendar limited so I can give each senior the attention the session needs.
